Small is the work that he has done

.

He has no enemy, you say;

My friend your boast is poor,

He who hath mingled in the fray

Of duty that the brave endure

Must have made foes.  If he has none

Small is the work that he had done.

He has hit no traitor on the hip;

He has cast no cup from perjured lip;

Has never turned the wrong to right;

Has been a coward in the fight.

The Rifleman’s Creed

“THIS IS MY RIFLE.  There are many like it but this one is mine.  My rifle is my best friend.  It is my life.  I must master it as I master my life.  My rifle, without me is useless. Without my rifle, I am useless.  I must fire my rifle true.  I must shoot straighter than any enemy who is trying to kill me.  I must shoot him before he shoots me.  I will.  My rifle and myself know that what counts in this war is not the rounds we fire, the noise of our burst, nor the smoke we make.  We know that it is the hits that count.  We will hit.

 My rifle is human, even as I, because it is my life.  Thus, I will learn it as a brother.  I will learn its weakness, its strength, its parts, its accessories, its sights and its barrel. I will keep my rifle clean and ready, even as I am clean and ready.  We will become part of each other.  We will.

 Before God I swear this creed.  My rifle and myself are the defenders of my country.  We are the masters of our enemy.  We are the saviors of my life.

 So be it, until victory is America‘s and there is no enemy.

Who will be your Masters?

Every totalitarian form of government, whether it be socialist, national socialist, communist or fascist, has a certain privileged  group whose inhabitants are more equal than others.  In the USSR these were the nomenclatura.

 The nomenclatura had higher income, better housing, and special stores where they paid lower prices than were the lot of the common bloke.  These were the people who operated the soviet government.

 Today we are ruled by a government whose intent is to drive the United States into one of the systems listed above.  The National Sozialistische perhaps?  Or…?  Whichever system results, who will belong to the nomenklatura?  Who will be your masters?

 Only those who, by right, can bear arms are allowed at the council fire for they are freemen and citizens.  The unarmed are serfs and may be armed only at their master’s order and whim.  Who will be your masters?

 “Where the people fear the government, there is tyranny.  Where the government fears the people, there is freedom”(1).  The objective of free men, then, is to ensure that the government fears them.

For The Right

—–

“If you will not fight for right when you can easily win without blood shed; if you will not fight when your victory is sure and not too costly; you may come to the moment when you will have to fight with all the odds against you and only a precarious chance of survival.  There may even be a worse case.  You may have to fight when there is no hope of victory, because it is better to perish than to live as slaves.”

                                       – Sir Winston Churchill –

Liberty

—–

“If ye love wealth better than liberty, the tranquility of servitude than the animated contest of freedom, go from us in peace. We ask not your counsels or arms. Crouch down and lick the hands which feed you. May your chains sit lightly upon you, and may posterity forget that you were our countrymen!”

Freeman or Slave

“No kingdom can be secured otherwise than by arming the people. The possession of arms is the distinction between a freeman and a slave. He, who has nothing, and who himself belongs to another, must be defended by him, whose property he is, and needs no arms. But he, who thinks he is his own master, and has what he can call his own, ought to have arms to defend himself, and what he possesses; else he lives precariously, and at discretion.”

Politics

—-

An honest politician is one who, once bought, stays bought.  By that defini-tion, a dishonest politician is one that is available only on short term lease.

The lefty politicians in congress are currently going gaga over the same corporate jet aircraft that they’ve been junketing on for decades.  Apparently their leases have expired.

I think it’s due time for their congres-sional leases in D.C. to expire as well.
